Today is known as “Era of Technology” and knowledge is the greatest power. We need to change in order to gain knowledge. Education is the best way towards this end. North Gujarat Education Society, Mumbai was established in1959 to provide the facility of Higher education to the youths of Mofussil area surrounding Patan. Shrimati Taraben Sundarlal Raichand Commerce College was established in 1971 before four decades, when the students demanded the qualitative modern education in commerce faculty. “Excellence through dedication” is our motto and our dedicated staff has tried to make our college a vibrant institute providing the skills of entrepreneurship and self reliance to the students. We have a vision to be a vibrant institute and we try to prepare the students for all round growth through diversified programmes along with the qualitative education.

Since the Establishment of Shrimati Taraben Sundarlal Raichand Commerce College(1971), under the guidance of our visionary Principals like Prin. G.J. Joshi, I/C. Prin. B. C. Patel, Prin. D. J. Kalani, I/C. Prin. A. A. Joshi, Prin. Dr. C. D. Modi, I/C. Prin. Dr. J. U. Nanavati, I/C. Prin. G. V. Patel, Prin. Dr. B. A. Shukla, I/C. Prin. Dr. L. S. Patel and Prin. Dr. H. S. Viramgami, this college has been reaping the harvest of scholarly students who have become successful businessman, tax practitioners, advocates, accountants, bankers, managers, journalists, lecturers, government officers and of course enlightened citizens of our rich cultured nation.

As an institute we have a deep concern with the society, hence we lead our students towards extension services through the different units like N.C.C. , N.S.S., Nature Club, Planning Forum, Youth Red Cross, Study Circle, Women Development Cell etc.
In the beginning of 21st century, keeping in mind the present scenario of the society, our management initiated English medium in commerce faculty in 2013. Students are provided qualitative education with the modern infrastructures, technology and participatory approach. I am sure, the students shall be lucky to taste the desired fruits.

Every year Commerce college celebrates annual celebration as “SPANDAN” the Heart Beats of the Youth.
As a principal of the college I am fortunate to have the whole hearted support from the college management and sincere co-operation from my young and energetic staff. With the dedicated efforts of my faculties, me and my students we will certainly take the college to the pinnacle of academic achievement.
